Meeting Minutes

Treasury Report:
-EFPAC will be purchasing 10 tables for park for a total of $500
Park Updates:
Wetlands –The Army Corp of Engineers are holding a community meeting about the Wetlands Project on 11/16/11 at 6:30pm at the fieldhouse.
Winter Programs
• Online registration begins Monday 11/28 @ 9am. Walk-in registration is on Saturday 12/3 from 9:30am-noon.
• New Programs: Stroller Fitness, Floor Hockey 6-8 year olds
• A limited number of class slots are reserved for walk-in registration
• The park will be closed for the holidays on the following dates: 11/24, 11/25, 12/23, 12/24, 12/25, 12/26, 12/30, 12/31, and 1/2 . The park will have limited hours on 12/27-12/29.
ADA Construction –The elevator is up and running. There will be a final walk-through within a few weeks.
Upcoming Events:
-Dinner with Santa: Friday December 9th 6:00pm-7:30pm at the fieldhouse. Tickets are $10/person. Dinner, entertainment, crafts, and Santa. Sign-up at eugenefield.wordpress.com
-EFPAC Elections: Tuesday 2/7/11 @ 7:30pm
-Family Valentine’s Dance: 2/14/12 6:30pm-8:00pm at the fieldhouse. $4/person
-Children’s Resale: 3/31/12 9:00am-2:00pm. Free admission. Rent a table for $25.
Community Member attended meeting to provide information regarding the following:
• Albany Park area food banks are depleted. EFPAC and Eugene Field Park offered placement of food collection bin at the fieldhouse. Community member will provide the bin and collect donations.
• The Albany Park community will be participating in a public arts project. A local artist will create a large Budhha head that will be placed in areas that community members have identified as unsafe points in the community.
• An anti-violence coalition is planning to provide leadership training workshops for adults and children in the community.
